Happy November 1st!!

Wow! I can't believe that it is already the first day of Novemeber. This year has flown by, and this semester has especially gone fast. This morning, we walked outside to go to the library, and the air was icy. We had to break out the hats and gloves for the first time today. Then as we walked past Columbia campus, they were putting up the Christmas lights!! I couldn't believe it. Seriously, is it really almost the Holiday season? Don't get me wrong, I love this time of year, and am already SO excited for it (I'm not gonna lie, I'm listening to Christmas music right now. It happened by accident, but it was nice, so I left it on. Don't judge), but it still feels like summer just ended. I mean, we just took our a/c units out like 2 weeks ago.

Anyway... I am excited for Thanksgiving, and the fun things we have planned. I will probably hold off on the Christmas music for a couple more weeks. Although I can't say that I appreciate Nate's bad attitude toward it, and that is not the reason I am holding off, by the way. Nate tends to be a bit of a scrooge when it comes to holidays in general, and it makes me a little sad (hint hint Nate).

I hope you all have a wonderful fall day!

P.S. I hate suckers. Could there be anything more sticky and gooey??

Why do you think Nate isn't a huge fan of the holidays? That doesn't seem like him.

well, i shouldn't say he doesn't like holidays. he just doesn't get excited about them the way i do. maybe it's just a girl/guy thing. but his family celebrated christmas a little more low key than my family, so i think that is the main reason. but even though he groans every time i want to buy a christmas tree, he appreciates all the work and decorations when it's done, and always thanks me for it. i could just use with a little less eye rolling. ;)

It's not that I don't like holidays, it's just that I came home today after an exciting and event-filled Halloween to Christmas music! I mean come on! That's like listening to "Monster Mash" at the end of August. Who's with me?

And I reluctantly admit, my sweet wife is converting me to holiday cheer, even if I do concede to some unnecessary eye-rolling. :)

Uh, excuse me, I am already listening to Christmas music, so you come by it naturally. Of course Galena rehearsals full of Christmas cheer gets us off to an early start, but I LOVE IT! Hailey called me from China just to ask if I was listening to Christmas music yet. She's disgusted that I start so early. Her roommate Hilary does the same thing I do and Hailey had to put a stop to it. Too funny!
