Happy birthday to Asher...

Kind of a bad picture of the table. I'm sure there will be many more pics of it on the blog in days to come, so you can get a good look at it then. Oh, and notice how Asher has already demolished everything that Nate and I so lovingly set up for him? He has also already taken off a bunch of tracks. Maybe I will have to glue them in place.

...only 2 months late!

Earlier this week, Asher's train table was delivered. Nate had to go to class, so I put it together all by myself. Does anyone else find it odd that I am the only one in this household that uses an electric drill, or a level, or one of those little wrenches that the table came with? Isn't that supposed to be the man's job? Ok, so Nate did put together my desk and Asher's little table from Ikea, so I guess those do count for something. Anyway... so yeah, I did an awesome job, if I do say so myself, and it turned out to be such a nice quality table and train set. I got it all set up and left it in the family room for Asher to find when he woke up. When Nate got home he helped me set up all the people and buildings, and he mentioned that it felt like Christmas Eve, how you get the big gifts all set up for the little ones, which is exactly what it felt like.

I didn't get up with Asher the next morning, so I didn't get to witness his reaction, but Nate said he ran straight to it and started playing, and didn't stop for anything. He didn't even ask for breakfast, which, if you know Asher, is saying something. He has been loving it all week long, and I think will continue to love it for a long time to come.

**update on the binky... all is still going wonderfully. He usually asks for it a couple of times a day, before nap and bedtimes, but he never so much as whines when I tell him that we don't have it any more. Part of me thinks he just asks for it out of habit. He is doing so well, and I am actually quite proud of him. What a good little boy!

How fun! Bella got an awesome kitchen from my parents for her birthday and I love seeing how excited she gets. Along with Asher, Bella is weaning too(different, though) and has now gone 2 days without. That's good because I am physically just done although I am glad our nursing relationship lasted until now. Well, I love checking in on you guys...talk to you soon.- Sarah
