Sickies

It's official... Asher, Sayer and I, are all on our THIRD really bad cold in ONE month. Aaagh! It is so frustrating and annoying and stupid and annoying... Not to mention that Asher is a complete devil child when he is sick.  Every little thing sets him off... he asks if we can go to the toys, I say yes, and he flips his little lid.   Apparently he is trying to see how many times a day he can push my patience to the absolute max... or in other words, when I reach the point where I want to throw my child across the room. Sorry, is that awful to say?? Oh well, I am not going to take it back, because it's the truth. So far, we are at about twice a day, sometimes three. Lovely, no? So, I just throw him in his crib, instead of across the room (no, I don't really THROW him), and I just have to leave and sit on the couch and listen to him scream himself hoarse for about 20 minutes. That's after he has already been screaming and dramatically throwing himself on the floor, for about 10 or 15 minutes. I find that I can ignore that part pretty well, it's when I try to talk to and reason with him, and when he starts hitting and pushing me, that's when he goes to the crib. He actually climbed/fell out of the crib yesterday, but thankfully he hasn't done it again. Hopefully he will remember that it was a painful experience. So anyway, that is my life right now. Nate and I are going on a cruise with his family in a couple weeks (without our children), and I CANNOT WAIT!! I have needed this break since Sayer was about 2 weeks old. It's not too far away to start counting down the days is it? I know it sounds horrible, but what can I say?!
This picture is really for me, so that I can remember how cute and sweet he really is

Poor Sayer always seem to get the worst cold of us all. Here's to healthier days ahead!

P.S. The baby carrots I have been munching on while writing this taste like dirt. I just thought you would like to know that.

Ahh, the joys of motherhood. Cal is so annoying when she gets really sick, she just kind of moans and whines all day. Bay pretty much just sits and doesnt say a word. Mars hasent been sick yet, so not looking forward to that! I feel for you Morgs. it is awful having sick little ones, especially when you feel like crap yourself.

We are experiencing major tantrums too. Your cruise will be so fab without the kids.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one who leaves their child in a crib to let them scream. I totally know what you mean...and Leah's not even sick. Wow. Hope you get feeling better SOON. I can't wait to see you and your new little apt. in ELEVEN days!

This is where the ipod comes in handy. Put it on and turn it up really loud- you might even start to forget about them. I would for sure count down the days to a cruise- If I were as lucky as you!!! SOmeday we will have to run something together, huh?

You crack me up! It is so not horrible for you to say that you want to throw your kid because every mother feels that way. I feel it often too! Your little boys are so cute and I am still anxiously waiting to see pictures of your New York apartment.

I have to let maisey cry for 40 minutes before she will go to sleep sometimes. No fun! Hope you feel better and your date night on the NY town sounded fun!

I hope you are feeling better. I hear you on getting a break. I haven't had one since Jefferson was born and it's starting to show :) Your boys are so cute--even if they are sick! We miss you guys!

Hey I just did a post about going to the SYTYCD tour - you might be interested in takin a looksy :)
How are you?

LOVE your background! What a nice designer connection! Your date night sounds great. When we were in NY, Guggenheim was under remodel construction and Paul was really bummed b/c he was looking forward to it at the top of his list - the architecture and everything you know? So I'll have to look up that exhibit.

That stinks you are all sick - it is so cruddy to take care of sick kids while you are sick yourself. That is SO great that you are going on a cruise soon!!!

Hope you're all feeling better.
:)
