This is the stance that Asher assumes most of the time while he is playing. I think it is pretty much the cutest thing ever. It amazes me how long he can stay like that, my legs would start to go numb. I guess little kids have better circulation than adults who are 30 weeks pregnant...shocker!! Speaking of circulation (which is taking me far away from the purpose of this post) I have reached the stage in pregnancy where it becomes almost impossible to find a comfortable position to sleep. I am open for suggestions, as I can't remember what worked last time...what works for you? How do you make it so you fall asleep, but all of your appendages don't?! Anyway...moving on.
In this picture, Asher is playing with a zip-lock bag full of change, while I am preparing his dinner, which is a big improvement over the clinging at my legs and insisting to be held, that he is normally doing when I am cooking. So needless to say, I was thrilled that he was doing anything besides that, even though the coins are probably very dirty and there was a big possibility that he could have eaten one of them (don't worry, I made sure he had his binky in the whole time I was cooking).
After his dinner, he resumed his playing, and I am quite certain that he would have been entertained with this activity for at least an hour. But unfortunately (for him, HA!), it was bed time!!

And of course, the evening wouldn't be complete without a display of Asher's "faces". My favorite thing is that he seriously goes through his "repertoire" of faces one by one, and holds it until the camera flashes, and keeps going as long as the camera is pointed at him!
This is mine and Nate's personal favorite!

Asher is such a cutie! I hated that period of pregnancy when sleep is so hard to come by! I never really found anything that worked, but my sisters use a huge body pillow. Maybe try that!!
Cute little monkey face, love it! I can relate to you on the sleeping thing... I was just thinking that last night as i was tossing and turning. I've also heard that body pillows work well... anythings worth a try right?? Let me know if you find something better...
If either of my kids got engrosed into something for that long, I would be so tempted to just let them keep going until they fell over! Cute kid! I too am having a problem with those "fun things to do with kids in the winter" thing. Here, the winters are so cold and ugly that you can't even go out and enjoy the snow! So enjoy!
I love those faces. so funny! Um so for me I always just used to put a pillow between my knees to sleep and it helped, but wasnt great. So far this time though I have slept wonderfully and I would have to say that it is all due to our awesome mattress. We bought a tempur pedic or whatever it is called almost two years ago and I highly recommend it. We will see how it goes for the rest of the preg though I am only 21 weeks.
He is so cute. Crew stands like that too. I don't know how in the world they do it. Sorry about the sleeping issue. That to me is the worst part about pregnancy. (and the leg cramps, and indigestion)
Morgan you are so great! I love reading your blog...it always makes me happy! Asher is so stinkin cute! I love the stance too! Tell Nate hi!
