The swaddle...

Ok, so as promised, here is the new amazing way to swaddle, thanks to my father in law, Chris.

You are basically going to be making a figure 8 around the baby's arms, and under their body, so each arm is wrapped individually, making it very difficult, if not impossible, to get their arms out. Here are some pictures and a video to illustrate. Sorry if the video is at a bad angle... Nate is out of town, so I had to balance it on a garbage can, but I think you'll get the picture.

PS. In case you were wondering what that pink bracelet is on my right wrist, that's my bracelet for the American Idol auditions tomorrow. No, I am not auditioning, but my sister Ashley is, and I get to go!! YAY! I am so excite to see how this all works. I will definitely take pictures and post all about it!

Thanks to Sayer for being such a cooperative (and adorable) subject/assistant!

Okay, seriously, there is NO way that you can look at your kids and not SMILE. They are so adorable I can hardly stand it!

Your kids are just soooo cute! I love it! It's interesting how the new swaddle is, I'm not so sure it would work for little Gracie though because she hates to have her hands swaddled. She always has had to have them out of the swaddle or else she gets really frustrated (no matter what I do). If I put her hands in where she can't get them out, you can hear her grunting and crying as she struggles to get them out and then when she does, she goes right to sleep. What a funny child I have! Sayer was such a sport in this video! What a happy baby!

That is how I do it too, I thought I made that up. Guess I am not the only smart one. Somehow, though, Corbin gets out if he really tries, and he sweats to death.

I can't wait to try that. Sayer is getting so big since Santa Cruz, time goes to fast. There is one picture he looks just like your brother.

He was so perfect and sweet for your demonstration- what a cutie! I will have to try this. I will have to find a blanket big enough first! That one you have looks like it goes on forever!

Max just took a nap in this. It was the first time he ever stayed swaddled and therefore slept much longer! Thank you!!!

Ok, so I'm not so much into the swaddling thing - Jacob always slept with his arms and legs fully sprawled out ever since he was first born. But I had to comment on the little side note you left, since I am a huge Idol fan!! What is that all about? Are the auditions in Salt Lake? Good luck to your sister, I so hope she makes it so we can have someone to cheer on. Yeah!!

we're swaddling fans too- our girls thought they didn't like it at first but it helps them sleep so much better! That's really cool about the AI auditions.
