Nate played a gig with the Sabre Rattlers, at Banjo Jim's down on the lower east side, about a month ago. It was a total hole in the wall bar that was closing down for renovations or something. Not surprising. They had a great set and quite a few people came out to show their support, not deterred by the torrential downpour that occurred on our way down there. I don't think my jeans or shoes ever dried. My friend Clare came with us because she had never really heard Nate play before. We had a great time together... one last outing before they moved! :( After the gig, we went with some friends to find some dessert. I can't remember the name of the place we ended up at, but we had some pretty scrumptious crepes and good company. It was very fun night!
